2016 FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament for Women
The 2016 FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament for Women will be a women's basketball tournament that will consist of 12 national teams, where the top five teams will earn a place in the 2016 Olympics basketball tournament. It will be held on 13–19 June. This tournament does not have defined host.〔
==Format==
The 12 teams will be divided into four groups (Groups A–D) for the preliminary round. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the knockout round. All four quarterfinal winners will advance to the Olympics, the four quarterfinal losers will play two rounds to allocate the final slot.
